Police Investigate ‘unexplained Deaths’ Of Woman And Child

Police in Cornwall are investigating following the deaths of a woman and child this weekend.
Officers were called by paramedics to a property in Fletchersbridge, near Bodmin, shortly after 10am on Saturday following concerns for a woman and child at the address.
Despite the efforts of emergency services, nothing could be done to save them and they were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Neither has been formally identified by police at this stage, however their next-of-kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
In a statement on Sunday evening, Devon and Cornwall Police said the deaths are currently being treated as unexplained.

Officers said they believe it was an isolated incident.
Police are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.

“I would like to reassure the community that this is being treated as an isolated incident and at this time we are not seeking anyone else in connection to the deaths.”
Fletchersbridge is a hamlet around two miles south east of Bodmin.
